A Story Out Of Breckenridge

During the early afternoon on Saturday, the Ski Patrol at Breckenridge Ski Resort had to evacuate a lift that had shut down to a loss of power.

As just after noon yesterday, the Quicksilver Superchair lost power. After approximately an hour, the ski patrol had to begin evacuations of the lift.

The patrol had to begin with a rope evac, but after approximately a half hour lift maintenance was able to get the chair spinning again to unload the rest of the passengers.

After close to two hours, all guests were able to be rescued or unloaded, Nobody was hurt during the evacuation. Also, if anyone has to be stranded on a stuck lift for that long, it doesn't hurt to do it in Colorado. I'm sure they had some decent views to look at while they waited.
