Wait...There Is More To Winter Than Skiing???
The title is just me being an ass. Of course, there is more to winter than just being on the hill. Ski Rex approves and supports all winter activities.
For those that are looking to get off their skis and snowboards for a little bit during the winter, here is an article from our U.K. friends at "Daily Mail".
Most of these, as you will see, are all over Europe, which is great. The Europeans have a great winter sports and activities culture. But, for those of us in North America, there are a few entries as well. I think the real point is that if you need a break from your skis, take a look around. you might find something else to keep busy or even as the focus of that winter trip.
Just to throw it out there, I have always suggested tubing as a good diversion from skiing and snowboarding. Most mountains seem to offer it these days. But, if they don't, there is always busting out the old saucer sled and hitting a local hill. Just be careful not to hit the kids.
