If the shutdown of the federal government has given you some extra time off that you didn't want or expect, you can kill some of that time at one of two Vermont ski areas that are giving out free day tickets.

Over the holiday weekend, Mad River Glen announced that they would give out day tickets, for free, to federal employees that have been impacted by the shutdown. For more information on how and when to take advantage of this program, follow the link to Mad River Glen.

Federal Employees - Ski It While You Can! - Mad River Glen, Vermont

Mad River Glen has decided to offer free ski lift tickets to federal employees who are impacted by the on-going government shutdown. Beginning on Tuesday, January 22. all federal employees who are furloughed or are working without pay can ski for free any midweek day until the shutdown comes to an end.

Sugarbush Offers Free Skiing to Furloughed Federal Employees

Warren, VT (January 22, 2019) - Sugarbush Resort is offering federal employees affected by the government shutdown free skiing and riding while the government remains shut down. Any federal employee furloughed or working without pay may show their federal ID and an official letter stating that they are not getting paid in exchange for a free Adult All Mountain lift ticket (does not include $5 RFID).

Ski Rex always promotes skiing in Vermont. If you are eligible and love to ski or ride, I highly suggest you take advantage of either or both of these offers. Get out there!!!
