The lawsuit is being brought against Paltrow by Dr. Terry Sanderson. In the lawsuit, Sanderson alleges that Paltrow was skiing out of control, collided with him, and caused an accident that left Sanderson with several serious injuries, including broken ribs and brain injuries.
Sanderson has also stated that Paltrow skied away, leaving Sanderson injured at the site of the accident. He then claims that a ski instructor from Deer Valley found him, but also left him there, did not send for ski patrol, and falsified a report to cover Paltrow. This has also lead the ski resort to be named in the lawsuit.
The lawsuit is being reported as seeking $3.1 million for medical expenses and other damages that may have been suffered as a result of the accident.
Various media outlets have stated that spokespeople for Paltrow have said there is no validity to these claims.
We are all well aware of the rules, and law in most cases, when it comes to a hit and run situation at a ski mountain. We also know that celebrities should not be above those rules. However, three years have gone by. The validity should absolutely be questioned.
