It seems almost everyday there is a story about an avalanche tragedy. However, there is one story where the victims were able to survive.

The story comes out of Bald Mountain, Idaho. A skier and snowboarder were out of bounds on Sunday, January 20, and triggered an avalanche that swept them down the mountain for over 100 yards.

Luckily for the pair they were able to dig themselves out of the snow and neither of the pair suffered any serious injury.
