Host Towns For The Olympics Always Seem To Have Issues
It always seems that the cities and venues that host the Olympic games, either winter or summer, have some kind of issue during or after the games.
Currently, it seems that the Korean Forest Service wants the Pyeongchang alpine venue torn down so the forest land there can be restored. However, local officials want to keep the venue intact in an attempt to draw more tourists and possibly host another series of events.

Korea Forest Service demand demolition of Pyeongchang 2018 Alpine skiing venue
The Korea Forest Service (KFS) has demanded that the Alpine skiing venue used at Pyeongchang 2018 be demolished and restored to its previous natural state. Controversy surrounded the construction of the Jeongseon Alpine Centre as the area was covered with 500-year-old trees.
