Klaus Obermeyer is truly a pioneer in the skiing world in the most literal way possible. He has been an inventor and the innovator of plenty of the technologies that we take for granted everyday on the hill.

He is also famous for the way he loves life and that he has a life long lived. He has been featured many times, including in films by Warren Miller, in his later years still getting out and tearing it up with the young people.

In this wonderful article from The Colorado Sun, written by Jason Blevins (@jasonblevins), we read about Obermeyer getting honored once more, this time with the declaration of "Klaus Obermeyer Day) on the 29th of January.

Klaus Obermeyer has lived a life in a way most of us wish we could and we all pray that we might get the chance to live it for as long as he has. Maybe it is his lust and appreciation for life and the world around him that has allowed him to keep going this long.

In any case, we hope that Klaus Obermeyer will keep getting out there for more years to come. For the full article about this wonderful human being, read below. You'll enjoy it.
