This past Sunday morning morning saw tragedy in the French Alps. At Morillon, two of their ski patrol members were killed.

The two ski patrol members were setting up to trigger an avalanche. The devices they were setting to accomplish this task went off prematurely, killing both of the ski patrol members involved.

At current, local authorities have confirmed that the pair were killed in the explosion and not the resulting avalanche.

Rest In Piece to the two who were killed in this accident. We should also keep in mind, no matter where we ski or ride, that ski patrol do have a very dangerous job. Make sure you appreciate any and all Ski Patrol.
