Due to an electrical issue on Sunday, Jan. 27, a chairlift at Stowe Mountain Resort in Vermont had to be evacuated by the ski patrol.

The lift shutdown at approximately 10:30 that morning, with the evacuation starting at 10:45 AM. Using a rope and rappel method, the ski patrol was able to have the nearly 160 people on the lift completely unloaded by about 1 o'clock.

All of the guests on the lift were evacuated safely with only two injuries due to the cold being reported, neither of which were serious.

Below is a video of the lift shutdown from Vermont WCAX Channel 3 that gives more information and a look at a cell phone footage from the lift.
