On February 16, Michael Halliday, 45, had made a call that morning to the Vermont State Police. Halliday had said that he was assaulted by employees of Bear Mountain at Killington.
After an investigation, it was found that this was not true. According to the press release, Halliday had been acting in a threatening manner towards employees of the mountain.
The release also stated that Halliday was making unreasonable noise in a public location and had been snowboarding through areas that were clearly marked unsafe. That action caused the chairlift to be shut down for approximately 10 minutes.
Halliday is to appear in Vermont Superior Court, Criminal Division on April, 15.
