It was close to 11:30 AM when the Snowmass ski patrol received a call about a crash at the first jump of the Makaha Terrain Park. When they arrived at the scene of the accident they found the unresponsive young man. The patrol began life-saving procedures, but the victim was not able to be brought back. He was pronounced dead at the scene by the Pitkin County Coroner.

The man, identified as Tyler Hamm, 20, was found not wearing a helmet, though the actual cause of death is still being investigated by local authorities.
