A Second Tragedy This Season In The Catskills -- Skier Dies At Hunter Mountain

For the second time this season a skier has died at Hunter Mountain following an accident.

The man was identified as 24-year-old Edward A. Chu. Chu hit a tree while skiing Saturday afternoon, Feb. 2. It is known that Chu was an able skier and was wearing a helmet on the day of the accident.

On January 19 there was also an accident that ended in the death of a skier at Hunter Mountain. The identity of that skier has not been released.
