A Successful Rescue Of A Cross Country Skier Who Fell Through The Ice In Massachusetts

Yesterday, Feb. 19, a cross country skier fell through the ice of a pond in Sudbury, Massachusetts.

It was mid-afternoon when local authorities received the emergency call that the victim had fallen through of Willis Pond in Sudbury.

Local police and fire responded to the call. Members of the fire department were then able to use ice rescue equipment and techniques to bring the victim to shore.

The victim came away with only minor injuries according to a post on the Sudbury Police Dept.'s social media feed.
