As we continue to hear about measles outbreaks in several places here in the United States, there is now some alarm about an outbreak in the French Alps.

Health authorities in France have begun to put out warnings about a surge in measles cases in and around the resort of Val-Thorens. Those authorities have suggested that if you plan on visiting the area to make sure you and your children are vaccinated.

It was also reported by CPH Post Online that two Danish citizens had contracted measles during a trip to the Val-Thorens area. Local health authorities in Denmark are also urging travelers to get vaccinations for themselves and their families before heading to the Alps.
