On Sunday, Feb 10, a 68-year-old Montreal man died after a collision with a tree at Jay Peak, Vermont.

In the early afternoon, Bruce Charron had lost a ski while heading down the mountain. This caused him to go off trail and collide with several trees.

The ski patrol was able to respond and extract Charron from the hill, though he died later from his injuries.

The accident is still under investigation by the Vermont State Police. They are asking that any witnesses to the accident call the state police barracks in Derby at 802-334-8881.
