This past Wednesday, Austrian and German police conducted a series of raids in an effort to close down what is being called an "internationally active doping network".

A part of the raids was conducted at the Austrian resort of Seefeld, the location of the current Nordic skiing world championships. During that raid, Austrian athlete Max Hauke has been reported to have been caught during the blood transfusion procedure. This video has also been reported as a "leaked" video that has been making the rounds of online media.

Including Hauke, there were a total of nine arrests made including international athletes and medical practitioners.

It has also been reported that the Austrian Nordic skiing coach, Trond Nystad, has resigned his position after the raids.
