After being lost in whiteout conditions this past Thursday, March 21, a skier was successfully rescued.

Dustin Wagenbach, 50, was skiing by himself when he ended up taking a wrong turn in the whiteout and getting lost.

Fortunately, Wagenbach was carrying his cell phone and was able to make a 911 call for help.

Not having an exact location to give rescuers, Wagenbach spent 8 hours in freezing temperatures waiting for his rescue, which did come.

After being checked by paramedics, Wagenbach was found to not have any serious injuries.
