This past Wednesday, April 24, it was reported via social media that the El Paso Country Search and Rescue was responding to an injured snowboarder on Pikes Peak. Later, the injured snowboarder would pass away, a tragedy made worse only by the fact that the victim's mother responded to the tweet looking for any information about her son.

It was later reported that the Teller Country Coroner's office had confirmed the identity of the victim as 24-year-old Tucker Shivers. Shivers, founder, and CEO of the Conquered  Peaks company took to social media the day before saying that he was going to be snowboarding at Pikes Peak.

According to reports, Shivers cause of death was caused by blunt force trauma. As he leaves behind a wife and child, a GoFundMe page has been set up to help out the family after this tragedy.
