Having snowy winters that last into April are nothing new for that region. This time, however, they have had snow since the fall.
Today is Caribou's 144th straight day of >=1" snow on the ground. Record is 155 days. Current snow depth is 24". There's a decent shot at making the record. #MEwx— NWS Caribou (@NWSCaribou) April 2, 2019
It has been reported that the first inch of snow for this season fell on November 10 and never stopped. With the mentioned 24" of snow, they really do have a good chance at beating their record, which was set in the winter of 2002-2003. Good luck to them!!!
