This is something that the ski world is familiar with as well. We see and have to deal with those that have little or no respect for the environment that out sports take place in, as well as no respect for the laws set in place to protect those lands.

For some skiers and riders, we switch from skis and boards to wheels to enjoy mountain sports. However, not all of us are tearing up the wilderness.

In this report from Fox5 San Diego, officials for the Carlsbad Nature Reserve have video evidence of mountain bikers tossing signs, blazing trails, and just being a general nuisance. The shame is that these kind of riders are ruining it for the rest of us that do respect the lands.

Please, no matter the sport you choose to participate in, make sure you are taking care of the lands and the environment around you. There is no need to destroy anything and you'll just end up getting a big fine, or worse if you do.
