Being a small, non-profit, independent ski mountain can be rough these days. Without the support of one of the large corporations, getting the finances to keep the hill running is not an easy task. However, one of the wonderful advantages these mountains have is the communities they serve.

Right now Whaleback Mountain in Enfield, NH is reaching out to that community to ask for help in raising funds for the hill. Their goal is to raise as much money as they can to assist with the cost of maintenance and repairs during the offseason so they can be set and ready to go for 2019/2020.

Whaleback Mountain, owned/operated by Upper Valley Snow Sports Foundation, is participating in NH Gives, an event to help raise their goal of $100,000.

NH Gives is an initiative of the NH Center for Nonprofits that helps raise money and awareness for NH nonprofits, such as Whaleback Mountain. The event is a 24-hour, flash-mob style of giving. From 6 PM on June 11th to 6 PM on June 12th, NH Gives will be set to accept donations for Whaleback Mountain, as well as 250 other nonprofits throughout the state.

If you are would like more information, you can visit the Whaleback Mountain website, social media pages (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram), or their donation page on NH Gives. If you are ready to donate right now, put June 11th and 12th in your calendar or save the event that Whaleback Mountain has created on Facebook.
