For those looking for a little it of an adventure, a little bit of exercise, a little bit of history, and will be in southern Vermont this Saturday, June 22, there is going to be an activity that should be right up your alley.

Folks from the Hogback Mountain Conservation Area will be taking a hike up the closed Hogback Mountain Ski Area searching out and discussing some of the relics that are still there to this day.

"The Hogback Ski Area closed in 1986, but there is still a lot of equipment on the mountain, some of it quite large and obvious, other bits small and hidden."

This exploration of the old hill will take place on Saturday, June 22, from 1:30 PM to approximately 3:30 PM. It has been said to expect a slow pace, noticeable elevation gain and loss, and some bushwacking off trail.

The meeting spot for the event will be in the field that is behind the white Distillery building. Any more information that you might need can be found at the Hogback Mountain Conservation Area website or social media pages, including any contact information.
