Is there anyone out there that is going to be in France this weekend? Well, if you are a local or a visitor and want to get some summer skiing in, there are two mountains that are opening up their glacier operations this weekend.

The first is Les Deus Alpes in Mont-de-Lans, France. Their summer ski season opens up this weekend, June 22, and will run until August 25. They will have 12 lifts open at 7 AM and have open skiing and riding until 12:30 PM. Currently, it's being reported that they have close to 9 feet of snow (265 cm) at an altitude of 10,500' (3,200 meters). There opening of glacier skiing and riding coincides with the Les Deux Alpes Outdoor Festival, which runs all weekend, June 21 to 23. For more information about all these good times, head to the Les Deux Alpes website or social media pages.

For the second mountain to offer glacier skiing starting this weekend we have Tignes. Not only are they going to be open for skiing on June 22, but they are also going to be showing off a new addition to their gondola cars. In a unique, and wicked cool, way to take a gondola ride, these cars offer the opportunity for 20 people to ride on the roof. Talk about a way to get a really spectacular view during their ride up the hill. For more information on pricing and schedules, head to the Tignes website or social media pages.
