A Man Missing On The Appalachian Trail In Pennsylvania Was Found Dead

A man that had been reported missing in Pennsylvania has been found dead on the Appalachian Trail.

James Cramer, 56, was reported missing by his wife last week. During the initial investigation, the wife told investigators that Cramer had left their home between 7:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 23, according to a report from nbcphiladelphia.com.

It was also during that investigation and following search that Cramer's vehicle was found in a parking lot not far from the Appalachian Trail in Schuylkill County.

It was this past Sunday morning that a search party found Cramer's body on the AT in Bethel Township, Berks County. That search party notified the Pennsylvania State Police of their discovery.

The investigation into the death of James Cramer will continue. No further details or cause of death have been given by police at this time.
