All Good Things Must Come To An End -- Mammoth Mountain Announces A Closing Date

As one of two mountains still running this late into the summer, Mammoth Mountain was looking as if it was going to be able to stay open right up until opening day for the 2019/2020 season. But, as with all good things, the endless winter must too, come to an end.

It was approximately 6 o'clock PM eastern time that the message came in the form of a Facebook post giving an exact date for the closing of winter operations. That date will be July 28, 2019. However, this past season will absolutely be one for the history books with a total of 260 days of operation and well over 700" of snow.

As a bonus, the post also went on to give an opening date, as well. It would seem that Mammoth Mountain Ski Resort will be open well before Thanksgiving this year. Congratulations to Mammoth for one hell of a season and making a silver medal run for the latest season in the United States.
