On July 5, a 7.1 magnitude earthquake rocked southern California and was felt into Nevada. Sitting near the borders of those two states is Death Valley National Park. Cameras at the Devils Hole site in the park caught some interesting video of the earthquake.

In the video, water that comes through Devils Hole can be seen rising and falling, creating waves that aren't common to the area. Some of that motion was about 10-15 feet, according to National Parks Traveler.

The water in the hole is home to a population of pup fish, which park staff said were not affected by the earthquake. The fish were reported to be in good condition with spawning behavior occurring.
