Not A Total Season Extension, But Arapahoe Basin Will Be Open This Weekend

It wasn't long ago that Arapahoe Basin Ski & Snowboard Area announced that it would stay open for skiing and riding until July 4th and that was it. They were shutting down winter operations and running right into summertime fun. However, they are going to give you one more weekend, this weekend, July 6 and 7, in a terrain park.

"Following that, we will roll directly into the A-Basin Summer Season. Summer operations include Black Mountain Express (BMX) being open to the public on weekends. We are going to try something new. Starting at 11 AM we will have a terrain park with a few features on Upper High Noon this Saturday and Sunday, July 6 and 7. To access the park, riders will have a short walk after travelling up BMX."

The preceding was an excerpt from Chief Operating Officer Alan Henceroth's "Al's Blog" which went on to say that if the park riders show up and the snow holds that this might not be a one-off event.

To take advantage of this bonus park weekend, head up to the mountain, head to the ticket window, and get yourself a $25 day ticket. Season passes will not be allowed for this bonus weekend. Make sure you head to the ticket window first. Any other information you might need will be at the Arapahoe Basin Ski &Snowboard Area website or their social media pages.
