In these days of doomsayers and negative outlooks concerning climate change and winter, it is nice to see that there is an area that could have a bit more of a positive outlook or growth when it comes to snow.

In a report from Reportbuyer, an organization that provides market research reports, it seems that the snowblower market could see a significant growth rate over the next 4-5 years, growing at a compound annual growth rate of close to 6%.

The report suggests that this is due to, at least in part, to the use of new technologies such as power steering, folding handles, LED headlights, and heated grips. This is also combined with manufacturers introducing a lighter weight and more durable product that is going to conform more to environmental concerns, including fuel efficiency in regards to a carbon footprint.

This growth also appears to be equal across the board when it comes to size and fuel type, though the larger size machines will continue to capture the majority of the market. As for the end-user categories, the residential market will see the majority of sales versus that of the commercial market.

It would seem that as long as there is still winter there is still going to be a growing need to use a powered solution to remove snow. For more a detailed look at this topic, the full report is available below.
