I have watched this video all the way through. I have gone to the website and read that through. I even took a look at the Facebook page for the Canadian Avalanche Rescue Cat Association. I can honestly tell you that I still have no idea if this is a bit or not.
Having said that, with the final scene in which they test rapid deployment of an avalanche searching feline, it is a bit. However, though it was done by amateurs, this little film does have the feel of a real documentary of an avalanche rescue team. It really is creative and could be a fun watch for cat lovers out there.
Also, it is quite possible that a cat could perform as well or better than a dog in an avalanche rescue scenario. Either way, take a look at this short from C.A.R.C.A. and enjoy!
