Ikon Pass Fans -- You Now Have A European Destination -- Zermatt, Switzerland Joins Ikon

It was announced today, August 27, that Zermatt in Switzerland has been added to the Ikon Pass, making this the first European destination to become part of the mega pass.

For those Ikon Pass holders that are looking to add a northern European getaway to their ski trip plans this winter, they will be able to enjoy seven-day access to Zermatt and the Matterhorn ski paradise network with no blackout dates. Those with the Ikon Base Pass are also more than welcome, however, those folks with have five days of access, also with no blackout dates.
“The Matterhorn is a true icon known around the world, so we are thrilled to have Zermatt join the Ikon Pass community,” said Erik Forsell, Chief Marketing Officer for Alterra Mountain Company. “Ikon Pass strives to continually offer pass holders unique experiences in the mountains. Now they can experience Zermatt’s glacier skiing, traditional Swiss fondue, plus its infamous European après ski across two countries, on one pass.”
This now gives Ikon Pass holders and fans a total of 41 skiing and riding destinations spanning the entire globe. These include destinations from Alterra Mountain Company, Aspen Skiing Company, Boyne Resorts, POWDR, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, Arapahoe Basin Ski Area, Alta Ski Area, Snowbird, SkiBig3, Revelstoke Mountain Resort, Taos Ski Valley, Sugarbush Resort, Zermatt, Thredbo, Mt Buller, Niseko United, Valle Nevado, and NZ Ski.
