Though able to get the World Cup season underway in New Zealand, there was not the finish that the men were able to have for the Big Air Event at Cardrona, New Zealand.

The men were able to make it through to the finals, however not long after the weather changed, the winds picked up, and the women's finals had to be canceled.

With this being the case, the podium was based on scoring from the qualifying round, giving Finnish athlete Enni Rukajärvi the top spot with a score of an even 86.00. Second place went to British Rider Katie Ormerod, pulling an 83.75, with Norwegian athlete Silje Norendal coming in right behind Ormerod with a score of 83.00 even. New Zealand local Zoi Sadowski-Synnott riding as the hometown hero came in at 5th with a score of 78.25.

This was not the last event to be affected by the weather in New Zealand. Half-pipe events for both ski and snowboard have been postponed due to the weather.
