Looks Like Montana Is Hinting At Another Pre-Fall Tease Of Winter

Summer doesn't end for another four days, but it would seem that won't stop winter from showing up and teasing those interested with, hopefully, a taste of things to come. There is more September snow in the forecast for the northern Rocky Mountains, to which one could focus their eyes on one mountain in particular.

Heading into the weekend parts of southern Montana could be looking at some snow in the higher elevations. A winter weather advisory is in effect for Madison and Gallatin counties, starting on Friday morning, September 20, and carrying right into Saturday morning.

As you can see on the map image, there is a good amount of blue and a bit of yellow from the accumulation key. A lot of that, which could be near 10", is hovering right around that area of Big Sky, Montana. If you are a local or fan, though this could just be a tease, you might want to keep your eyes open for your first day on the hill. If you are looking to get up there via human-power, your first day could be this weekend.
