The Race To Open Heats Up With The Announcement Of Steamboat Opening Early
It would seem that we could have a front runner for the first hill to open up for the 2019/2020 season.
According to a report from the Steamboat Pilot & Today, Steamboat Resort announced this past Wednesday, September 25, that opening day would be four days ahead of schedule.
The mountain traditionally opens the day before Thanksgiving each season. However, for the upcoming season, an opening day of November 23 has been given.
According to the same report, opening day will include special festivities and Steamboat's brand new, $15 million, Wi-Fi enabled gondola will be open and running, as well.
