Big SNOW At American Dream Has Announced Pricing
The opening day for the American Dream shopping and entertainment complex in New Jersey is getting closer. With that has come several stories about some of the attractions that are located in the complex. This past Friday an announcement was made about the pricing related to the complex's indoor ski facility Big SNOW.
According to a press release from SNOW Operating, the company in charge of operating Big SNOW and nearby ski resort Mountain Creek, there will be multiple price points when visiting the facility.
“We could not be more excited to be bringing Big SNOW to the public this December,” said Hugh Reynolds, vice president of marketing and sales, SNOW Operating. “Big SNOW is a game changer for skiing and snowboarding in the United States. The unprecedented access to year-round snow combined with the center’s unrivaled location and the overall appeal of American Dream will allow us to provide opportunities never before seen, and to move the needle on growing the sports in a big way. Our goal is to introduce more than a quarter million new skiers and snowboarders to the sports in the next year. It’s going to be truly amazing.”
For those who are beginners or do not have their own equipment, there are packages starting at $49.99, with advanced purchase, that will get the guest everything needed for a day at the slopes. This includes equipment rentals, helmets, winter outerwear (pants and jackets), slope access tickets and a complimentary introductory lesson through SNOW Operating’s proprietary Terrain Based Learning method of instruction.
For those who are geared up and ready to go, tickets for those ages 7 and over will be $34.99 for a two-hour session and $49.99 for a four-hour session. Those who purchase their tickets online will receive a reduced rate, though that rate was not shared with the other pricing.
The Big SNOW facility at the American Dream will be the first indoor skiing/snowboarding facility in North America. The 180,000 square foot, 16 story facility will feature 4 acres of snow-covered slopes, a 160-foot vertical drop, a graduated degree of pitch ranging from 0% at the base to 26% at its steepest point and 1,000 feet of length for skiers of all ages and skill levels to take advantage of all serviced by 4 surface and aerial lifts. The temperature inside the center will remain a constant 28-degrees Fahrenheit, ensuring a consistent and optimal snow condition year-round. The center’s slopes will be filled with more than 5,500 tons of snow and shaped to an average snow depth of 2 feet throughout.
The American Dream complex's grand opening will be October 25, though Big SNOW's official opening date is December 5 of 2019. Though Snow Operating has shared the pricing for Big SNOW, the pricing for other attractions at the complex have yet to be released.
