Have You Ever Been Asked About Your Favorite Donuts While Riding A Chairlift?
That might sound like a silly question. I'm sure if you think back to all of the conversations you have had with friends and strangers while riding lifts, though snack choices may have come up, it's unlikely that it was that specific.
Enter the wonderful film making family of Alba Adventures. They have a YouTube channel full of wonderful films from their ski adventures around the East, but it was a mini-web series of theirs that caught my attention today. What can I say? I hadn't eaten yet, saw the word "snacks" and couldn't resist.
That's just the first of a 23 episode series, to which there is a full playlist for easy viewing, starring the youngest of the family. Granted, it looks as if this film-oriented family was just doing this for fun. But, as I watched and chuckled at this little clown, a trait I hope she doesn't lose as she grows up, my mind raced with images of this kid interviewing more regular skiers/riders, pro skiers/riders, and other celebrities that might know a little something about snack foods. How great would it be to see Guy Fieri or Gordon Ramsay on a lift talking about their favorite donut?
But then, what do I know? Well, I do know that as I have talked to the Alba family online here and there, they do seem to be wonderful people who make some very nice ski films, all themed to the joys of being able to ski as a family. Some of their work has also been making the rounds of the festival circuit. If you have the time or can make the time, check them out on their YouTube channel, which is linked below. While there, head to their social media pages and follow them there as well. It's worth it.
