Jay Peak, Vermont To Open Early After Taking A Whoppin'
It would seem that some parts of New England have gotten a pretty big pay off from the winter storms that have moved through the area recently. Jay Peak Resort in Northern Vermont is not only reporting nearly three feet over the week but is going to get an early opening because of it.
Like most of the mountains here in Vermont, as well as other parts of the United States, Jay Peak has been seeing colder temperatures allowing the mountain to turn on the snowguns. However, Jay Peak has been blessed with nearly three feet of natural snow, which is going to help get their season off to a great start.
Just so it is said, this would be the start of the lift-accessed season. With the amount of early season snow Jay Peak has seen, there have already been groups heading up the mountain for some "earn-your-turn" skiing and riding.
November 22 will be opening day for Jay Peak. Details about the day and ticket sales and information will be available through their website, https://jaypeakresort.com/, or you can follow the mountain on their social media pages.
