Kiwi Alpine Racer Alice Robinson Will Not Be Skiing GS At Killington
Alice Robinson has made a lot of headlines recently after taking first place in Giant Slalom at the World Cup season opener and beating favorite Mikaela Shiffrin to do it. However, it seems that continued coverage of the teen New Zealander is turning to her need to sit out the next GS event, the HomeLight sponsored HomeLight Killington Cup at Killington, VT.
According to a social media post from Robinson, it was suggested by doctors that she sit out this next event due to bone bruising. Though she admittedly was skiing on the injury when she took first place at Söelden, having suffered the injury during a training run at that event, she is following the doctor's advice and not racing at Killington later in the month.
Though taking time to rest her knee back in her home of New Zealand, she will also be focusing on strength training and rehab so that she can continue the season. At current, she will be looking to return in time for the next women's GS event, which is scheduled for December 17 in Courchevel, France.
