Ski The East Working Carinthia, Mount Snow, Vermont Once Again -- VIDEO

I've said it before and I'll say it now...anytime I see something to do with Mount Snow, I check it out. I just have so many good memories of that place and I do still consider it my home mountain, that's even living just about an hour and a half north of West Dover. To add to that, however, anytime I see that Ski The East has done an edit at Mount Snow, I drop what I'm doing and watch it.

Now, for those keeping score at home, the last three videos in the Promised Land series have been from Carinthia. Why single this one out? Well, it starts with the video thumbnail, which relates to the title. The silhouette of a skier sending a pretty big trick against the rising sun is a work of art, both in the world of still photography and the world of freestyle skiing.

That thumbnail ties into the video itself, obviously. For those who don't know, a large portion of Mount Snow, including Carinthia, faces east. So, even if one didn't read the title, you can still get the point of the film just by looking at the many colors of the sun rising over New England. That combined with some very skilled freestyle skiing makes for an enjoyable short. It really was a great idea to show up at the park at dawn, and the idea was executed beautifully.

I think this is my favorite of the Carinthia videos.
