Utah Is Open For The Season -- First Brighton Resort Followed By Brian Head Resort & Park City Mountain Resort

As other states around Utah have been kickstarting the 2019/2020 season early, the question about when Utah would join them has been asked more than once this November. There is no longer need to wait because as of yesterday, November 19, the Utah ski season finally started at Brighton Resort.

Brighton Resort

The 2019/2020 season has started for Northern Utah with the midweek opening of Brighton Resort. The season got underway yesterday morning, November 19, with two lifts servicing five trails, as well as uphill access being ready to go.

Brighton was able to beat out neighboring hills, such as Solitude Mountain Resort and Alta Ski Area, by over a week, though another neighboring hill, Park City Mountain, is right on the heels of Brighton, setting an opening date for this Friday, November 22.

Park City Mountain Resort

Speaking of Park City Mountain Resort, they will be right behind Brighton, opening just three days later on Friday, November 22. The mountain is looking to start their season by having three lifts open in Park City Mountain Village. Then on Saturday, five more open for the season in Canyons Village. Is this enough to get you to make the trip over from S.L.C. to do some skiing or riding?

Brian Head Resort

Southern Utah is also getting in on the action this weekend. Brian Head Resort will also be open this Friday with six runs serviced by two chairlifts. This includes a terrain park set up on Chair 3. The surface conveyors on the bunny hill will also be open.

To sweeten the opening day fun at Brian Head, night skiing will be available, also from Chair 3, on Friday and Saturday nights from 4:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M.

All three resorts are calling for early season conditions, so be prepared for those conditions if you are visiting any of these three mountains this weekend.
