Man Charged With Attacking A Teenage Girl At Park City
In an act of what could be described as "Ski Rage", a Park City man has been charged with child abuse after allegedly attacking and attempting to choke a teenage girl on the hill.
According to a report from Deseret News, police have said that a 17-year-old girl had been skiing downhill, but stopped to wait for her group of friends. This was when a man "approached and began yelling at her," proceeded to grab the girl by her neck "and started squeezing" before shoving her to the ground.
A second person that was passing by stopped and pulled the man off of the teenager.
The man in question, Marcelo Pablo Jose Portomene, 40, has been charged with child abuse, a second-degree felony, in Summit County's 3rd District Court.
It is currently unknown as to what provoked the attack or if the attacker knew the girl prior to the incident.
