A Second American Dream Complex Is Heading To Miami -- Yes, It'll Have An Indoor Slope
For those that like to head to Florida to get some fun in the sand and sun, well, in just a few short years you'll be able to get some time on the snow, too. It has been announced that a second American Dream complex will be coming to the greater Miami area as soon as 2025.
Like the complex in New Jersey, the aim is to make the property more than just a mall, but an entire entertainment complex. The near $5-billion complex will be five million square feet and house many attractions similar to American Dream Meadowlands, including an indoor ski facility, which depending on the actual timeline for completion could be the second one in North America.
According to a report from the Miami Herald, the complex that will become the largest of its kind in this country will start construction in late 2021. This comes from attorney Miguel Diaz de la Portilla, an attorney from Saul Ewing Arnstein & Lehr that represents Triple Five Worldwide, the company the owns and operates American Dream Meadowlands in New Jersey, the Mall of American in Minnesota, and the West Edmonton Mall in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. These properties represent the biggest malls on the continent.
