Alpine Meadows Ski School Employee Found Dead In Car, In Mountain Parking Lot

Authorities from Placer County, California are investigating the death of an Alpine Meadows Ski School employee that was found dead in his car at the resort. This is according to a report from The Union, via a Placer County press release.

Henry Irving Geldman, age 25 from Berkeley, was found dead after falling asleep in his car during the recent snowstorms that area has seen. It is being reported that witnesses have stated that Geldman had decided to sleep in his car instead of braving the storms and returning to his accommodations.

Placer County Sherriff's deputies responded Tuesday to reports of a person deceased in their car at Alpine Meadows. This is when those deputies found Geldman inside.

“Geldman’s death appears accidental at this time, but an official cause of death cannot be determined until our Coroner’s Office completes their investigation.” - From The Placer County Press Release
