Mikaela Shiffrin Performing For Fundraising Friday Night
Social media has been huge for entertainment during the outbreak with many musical artists performing from their home studios or even their living rooms. That is, of course, going to continue until this is all over and tomorrow night will see a pro skier join a pro musician for one of these shows.
Alpine superstar Mikela Shiffrin has more than once picked up her guitar and performed for her fans across the biggest social media platforms. Tomorrow night, Friday, April 17th, the skier will be joining singer/songwriter KT Tunstall as part of a performance for the Virtual Apres Music Series from reverb.org, a series that has been featuring musical artists performing 30-45 minute sets on the virtual stage. This particular performance will be live-streamed at facebook.com/reverb starting at 7 o'clock Eastern time.
The fundraising from this performance is to benefit Goggles For Docs, a program that works to get used, or even new, goggles that can be used for eye protection to healthcare workers during the COVID-19 outbreak. This program has, so far, help get over 30,000 pairs of goggles out to hospitals and other healthcare facilities across the country. More information, including ways you can help with donations, is available at gogglesfordocs.com.

Goggles for Docs
What if I have glasses? Can I still wear these goggles? Sport RX has graciously offered to donate prescription inserts for any healthcare workers who need them for the goggles donated through this initiatve. What guidelines should I follow to donate safely?
