Summer & Winter Gear For Special Olympics Washington Stolen


The Kennewick Police Department responded to the report of a burglary at a local storage facility in Kennewick, Washington. Taken from one of the units was several thousand dollars worth of sporting equipment used by Special Olympics athletes for summer and winter competitions.

It is currently believed that the unknown suspect, or suspects, broke into the storage unit during the evening hours of May 18th. Those involved stole several bicycles, several Sun brand adult tricycles, several snowboards, and bags of ski and snowboard personal equipment. 

The equipment has been confirmed to belong to Special Olympics Washington.

An investigation is currently underway by local authorities.

If anyone in the area has security cameras that point towards the street, please check them for suspicious vehicles during the evening hours of May 18th and call us at 628-0333 if you find anything suspicious." - Kennewick Police Dept.
