Reopened Arapahoe Basin, CO Has An Official Closing Date

After about twelve days of late-season skiing and riding after a months-long closure due to COVID-19, Arapahoe Basin has chosen an official closing date, which will be at the end of this coming weekend.

"The last day of the ski season will be Sunday, June 7. Every season, no matter how hard we try and stop it, the snow still melts. The cat drivers push and pile it for months on end. Even so, the snow still melts. We think Sunday is a good day to close out the season. The snow is almost gone." - Alan Henceroth from Al's Blog

While disappointing to the local fans that were able to take advantage of the reopening, as well as those that were hopeful they might still get the chance, it can be said that it's nice to hear an actual closing date due to the season changing and not due to a viral outbreak. It almost reminds one of a sense of normalcy.
