- Thredbo Resort Press Release

Though we here in the Northern Hemisphere can't head down to participate with our Aussie Brothers and Sisters, it's still kind of exciting. As stated above, Thredbo Resort in New South Wales, Australia announced that, starting yesterday, that they were open for the 2020 season.

Thredbo will be joined by Mount Buller, Mount Hotham, Falls Creek, and Perisher starting tomorrow, Wednesday, June 24th.

It is true that international fans of these hills will have to wait until next season to ski the summer away in Australia, but it's will still be very interesting to keep your eyes on these hills for 2020. Each of these hills will be running with at least some restrictions and limitations, all of which are put in place to lessen the spread of COVID-19. It will be a glimpse into what the future may hold for the Northern Hemisphere season in 2020/2021.

With that said, if you are a local and able to take advantage of these mountains opening, make sure to check in with each mountain's website, their social media pages, or contact the mountain you wish to visit directly before you go. Though most restrictions will be the same, there will be some small differences that you'll want to know about before getting to the mountain.

All in all, however, congratulations to these Australian hills for being able to have their season. Have fun!!!
