An Early Forecast For The Winter Of 2020/2021 -- It Looks Good For New England

There are those out there that would say it's far too early to even think about next winter. For the rest of us, however, it's never too early to think about next winter. Thankfully, indy weather outlet and growing YouTube sensation, Direct Weather, agrees with us, that it isn't too early. Well, it could just be great timing, but the point is that we have one of our first looks into a weather forecast for 2020/2021.

Now, it would seem that the presenter is going with the La Niña possibility that the NOAA announced not too long ago. That brings the possibility of a nice, snowy winter for those of us that live in the north.

This would normally be getting northern ski and snowboard enthusiast's hopes up, though it may turn bittersweet if the coming season is wrecked by COVID-19, just as the end of last season was. But, to be honest, last season, at least here in New England, did not see a great winter when it comes to accumulation. Though we would never wish the mountains any trouble in opening and staying open if that does happen, it might be nice to at least play in the snow in the yard.

For those that are interested, Direct Weather did issue another video yesterday, July 16th, that continues to dive into what could happen for this winter, which one can watch below. But in the end, as it is every year, we're going to have to sit tight and wait to see what kind of flakes will be flying this winter.
