The Vermont Properties Of Vail Resorts Are Set To Open Next Week

Are you a Vermont skier or snowboarder that uses the Epic Pass? Then you already know that Vail Resorts operates three mountains within the Green Mountain State. For those that don't know, Stowe Mountain Resort, Okemo Mountain Resort, and Mount Snow are all part of the Vail Resorts/Epic family.

Just recently, all have announced a collective opening date for the 2020/2021 season. Though all three had to postpone their opening dates due to several days of unseasonably warm weather here in Vermont, all three are now looking to open on Wednesday, November 25th, just in time for the Thanksgiving holiday weekend.

The announcements for the opening dates came across social media, with Mount Snow and Okemo sharing the same, generic announcement;

"With snowmaking firing and opening day targeted for 11/25, pass holders can begin making their opening day reservations today! Join the reservation waiting room as early as 3pm EST and reservations can be made starting at 4pm. Pass holders will be able to book days from 11/25 through Thanksgiving weekend (11/29).

With limited early-season terrain, we expect certain days to book up quickly, but as we expand terrain we’ll be able to accommodate more guests."

Stowe, being considered the big dog of the trio, had a mountain-specific message to share with their fans about the upcoming start to the season.

For all three of the mountains, reservations are required. Also, Vermont has very strict travel restrictions, including the need for all inbound visitors to quarantine for 14 days or 7 days with a negative COVID-19 test. The restrictions are being met with a lot of hate across each mountain's social media pages, but they are in place.

To that point, please make sure you visit each of the mountain's websites for full, detailed information about their operating plans for the coming season. Also, visit healthvermont.gov for detailed information on travel restrictions for those visiting from out of state.
