Vermont's Ski Season Starts Tomorrow At Killington

After opening days around the state of Vermont had to be delayed due to a string of warm days, confirmations are coming in that the season is going to be starting tomorrow, November 20th, at Killington. This once again makes Killington the first mountain to open in the state, as well as the first mountain to open in the East.

Opening day and the following weekend are being reserved exclusively for Killington season pass, Beast 365, and Ikon pass holders. Those who are not pass holders will be able to get on the hill starting Monday, November 23rd, at 9:00 A.M.

“We’re happy to be back on snow with top-to-bottom turns and ask guests to help us protect the longevity of the season by following resort and state health guidelines as part of Operation Stay Safe,” says Mike Solimano, president and general manager of Killington Resort and Pico Mountain. “There’s one common thread that connects our guests, staff, and community — their undying passion for skiing and riding. By managing the number of people visiting Killington at any given time, those on resort will be able to appropriately physically distance, stay safe, and have fun.”

Any and all guests that are looking to have a go a Killington over the coming days are reminded that they must follow the quarantine guidelines set by the state of Vermont, which can be found at healthvermont.gov, as well as following the mountain's guidelines for a safe visit, which are available at the Killington Resort website.

Starting at 9:00 A.M. on Friday, the K-1 Express Gondola, the North Ridge Quad, the Snowdon Six Express, and the Snowdon Triple will all be running for top-to-bottom access across the mountain. They are going to run until 4:00 P.M. Expect there to be early-season conditions across all areas with access to advanced terrain only. There will be no beginner runs for opening weekend. However, that does include a temporary pop-up terrain park in the North Ridge area on Reason, the first park to open in the east. Other services and amenities will be open as follows:
