A 12-Year-Old Is The Youngest Blind Person To Ski Big Couloir, MT -- VIDEO
Some of the most fascinating people, at least in my opinion, who ski, snowboard, or participate in any sport through a disability are those who no longer have full use of their vision or are totally blind.
Here we have the story of Jacob Smith, who, in 2019 at 12-years-old, became the youngest blind person to ski the Big Couloir at Big Sky, Montana. In this short, documentary-style film we learn about Jacob losing his sight and how he was able to push beyond that and get back on skis, which culminates in skiing a big mountain run that could give a full sighted person second thoughts.
